Main street Condos for sale Vancouver BC

Main street is a quiet area in Vancouver city, however, it suffered some major changes in the last few years due to the new construction developments of low-rise and mid-rise family buildings that were built. The main street has a lot of green space areas and parks, such as the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park and the desirable Riley Park. The homes here offer some of the best views of Downtown Vancouver and you have instant access to a lot of schools and facilities. Main street condos for sale are also quite affordable, and the Downtown Vancouver condos are the most targeted!

This is not the only reason people choose to live on Main street. This area is considered one of the cheapest places to live in East Vancouver. The housing prices are lower than other well-known areas from Vancouver and that’s another reason people tend to look at properties to buy here. Apart from condos, you get a few housing options to choose from, such as single-family dwellings, 1 or 2 stories detached dwellings, townhouses, and apartments. But why is a condo a desirable main street home?

Is living in a Main Street condo worth it?

People usually compare apartments with condos and there are a few main differences between these two. First of all, a condo is a privately owned independent unit within a community of other units, while the apartments are usually owned by a single person. You get full control of what happens inside your home if you choose a condo. That gives the younger single families the feeling of being the owners of their very first home and the ability to redecorate it as they want to.

Besides this advantage of full ownership, condos have certain facilities, services and amenities included. These amenities may include access to a swimming pool, access to a private gym, parking spot or garage, playground areas, lounge areas, laundry room, and so on.

Each condo has different services and amenities, and main street condos are no exception, as you can search for the ones you really need. Of course, all of these services have to be paid via a monthly fee or tax, but it will still be less than what you should expect to pay if you get them separately. You can easily find a condo in your ideal Main street location using the real estate board, and some even have a virtual tour link. A gorgeous city such as Vancouver BC has plenty of beautiful views, accessible even from the trendy main st.

Condos are the Most Popular Properties on Main Street

Another great thing about condos is that they are cheaper than apartments. So you get full ownership of your new home, extra services that you don’t have access to if you live in an apartment and the buying cost is way cheaper. These are just a few things that make condos so special and people tend to look at them before searching for an apartment or a house.

To make it more clear how cheap a condo can be, let’s take a median price of a house in Vancouver and a median price for a condo. Usually, a single-family house costs around $2 million, with some exceptions regarding the neighborhood that it is situated in. Now, a decent condo in the same area can cost only $600.000. There is a $1.4 million difference, so there is no doubt why young single families prefer condos.

Most of the condos on Main street offer really good conditions. They feature hardwood flooring, a walk-in closet, a south-facing balcony, stone countertops, dining room, and most of them are completely renovated and in a central location.

District real estate board condos in the Main street

You might expect some high prices for Downtown Vancouver condos, however, when it comes to the main street, let’s analyze some offers. One of the cheapest condos is listed at the price of only $640.000. This condo has a total surface area of 811 sq ft, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom. It is situated within walking distance from Nat Bailey Stadium, Vancouver’s Curling Club, Racquet Club, and Hillcrest Community Centre.

This is a south-facing penthouse unit with a big living room and a dining area in the kitchen. The services provided include a big lounge with a play area, a laundry room, access to a private gym, and parking spots. The monthly taxes for all the services and amenities included are only $367.

Let’s look at a more expensive main street condo, listed at $1 million. This one has a total surface area of 838 sq ft and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is situated in the Mountain Pleasant area, centrally located in the heart of the Main street and it is steps away from Prince Edward water park, Queen Elizabeth, and Nat Bailey Stadium.

The building has a beautiful lush central Zen Garden to make the place more appealing for its residents. The condo comes fully furnished and features high-end Miele appliances and generous outdoor space. The amenities include a huge outdoor lounge area, a locker room, one parking spot, air conditioning, and a laundry room. The monthly fees are just $350.

Condos can be a really good deal on Main street due to the lower buying prices and facilities. The area is pretty quiet, has a lot of green space areas, parks, and all of the services that you and your family might need, within walking distance!
