There is only one secondary school called Killarney Secondary in Killarney, and it is highly regarded for its Fine Arts Program, being the largest secondary school in all of Vancouver.
The interesting part when it comes to housing in Killarney is the numerous less expensive single-family homes and townhouses that made the perfect place to stay in the heart of the metropolis. Many of the older single-family houses were built in the post-era war and heritage properties in Killarney include 1920s farmhouses.
Killarney is also home to Vancouver’s very first housing cooperative building built-in 1970. New townhouses are expected to be built soon on the old Avalon Farm heritage property such as Avalon Mews.

Killarney Community Centre is located in the heart of Killarney and it hosts a fitness center, leisure pool, and ice skating rink. Due to its forest history, the area mostly consists of well-populated green spaces and city parks.

The median price for the single-family houses listed for sale is $1.9 million, which is below the average of about 90% of the houses in other Vancouver neighborhoods. The average price for a 1/2 duplex is around $1.5 million, while the price for a townhouse is around $924.000. Condos and apartments are the most affordable types of buildings and their average price is around $500.000.
Killarney homes for sale are quite affordable at the moment however, The MLS HPI prices for the single-family detached dwellings show that they are constantly increasing their prices, especially in the last few months. The lowest price for a single-family house was at $1.378 million in April 2019, while the all-time high was registered in May 2021 at the average price of $1.848 million.
