The jewel of the Hasting sunrise neighborhood is the New Brighton Park that boasts a beautiful swimming pool right at the water’s edge that’s great for both families and singles.

The second major recreational area is the massive area that goes from Hasting Park and the Pacific National Exhibition. The Forum and the Agridome host concerts, the Vancouver Giants hockey team, speaker series throughout the year, and even equestrian events. In the summer, the area has a Playland Amusement Park and Hastings Park Racecourse, which rivals the top events in Vancouver BC.

The Pacific National Exhibition is a shining event that brings life to Hasting sunrise. This event brings residents together via a volunteer-based association that serves as the main contact for the Hastings Park Conservancy and is also dedicated to the restoration of the Hasting Park’s green spaces. Hasting sunrise is one of those neighborhoods that are more affordable and pretty attractive for young, middle-aged residents and seniors. Most of the buildings are detached dwellings and single-family homes.

The median price for a single-family house right now is around $1.85 million, which is about $1.5 to $2 million less than the average price of Vancouver for the same house. The median price for a 1/2 duplex is $1.5 million and the average price for a townhouse is around $1.22 million. Apartments and condos are the most affordable ones and their median price is around $450.000.

Looking at the HPI Prices for the past three years, the prices kept a pretty steady line until 2021. In 2018 the median price for a single-family house or a detached dwelling was around $1.5 million. The all-time low was registered in October 2019 for the price of $1.3 million and since July 2020 the prices have spiked up again. Right now, the apartments are at their all-time high price.
